Homemade Pogos Recipe Gluten-free and dairy-free (casein-free).

PORTIONS: 10-12 POGOS
ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
- 210 g (1 1/2 cup) all-purpose flour "La Merveilleuse"
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) sugar
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) baking powder
- 2,5 ml (1/2 tsp) salt
- 255 g (1 cup) plant-based milk substitute
- 2 medium eggs
- 10-12 sausages, to taste
- Oil for fryer (canola or peanut)
- 10-12 popsicle sticks
PREPARATION
- In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine plant-based milk substitute and eggs.
- Combine the two mixtures to make a smooth batter.
- Let rest 15 minutes.
- During this time, start the fryer and put a sausage on each popsicle stick.
- Pour the batter into a deep glass (the glass needs to be higher than the length of the sausages).
- Dip the sausages one by one in the batter, dipping several times to get a good coating. Put directly into the fryer. Depending on the size of your fryer, you may need to cook the pogos in several batches to avoid crowding.
- Cook until the pogos are golden all around. Remove and drain on paper towels.
